Privacy notice

Revision of

This notice explains what personal data LondonSearchWorks handles, why, and the rights you have under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations as amended in 2026.

The controller

Techno Hiker Pvt Ltd, incorporated in India, operates the practice and acts as controller for the data described here. Contact us at hello@londonsearchworks.online or through the visibility review form.

Information we hold

  • From the review form: your name, email address, type of business, website, the towns you serve and your message.
  • From working together: agreements, invoices, correspondence and meeting notes.
  • From client systems: read or edit access to Search Console, a Business Profile or a shop platform, only where you grant it.

Lawful bases

The legal grounds are pre-contract steps you ask us to take, then the contract itself, for review requests and client work; on legal obligation for tax and accounting records; and on legitimate interests for keeping this website secure.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website sets a single strictly necessary cookie that protects the review form from forged submissions. It runs no analytics and no advertising technology, so no consent banner is shown.

Customer data of clients

We ask clients not to share details of their own customers with us, and our work does not require them. Where client systems we access happen to contain such data, we view only what the task needs and copy none of it.

Who receives data

Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required, and never sell it. Client names are kept confidential unless a client agrees in writing to be named.

International transfers

Because the controller is in India and some providers operate outside the UK, your data may be transferred abroad. Where UK law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Retention

  • Review requests that go no further: erased no later than a year after they arrive.
  • Access to client systems: removed at the end of the engagement.
  • Invoices and agreements: kept for as long as tax and company law require.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Once we are satisfied a request is really from you, a reply follows inside a month. The Information Commissioner's Office also takes complaints, although we would rather have the chance to resolve matters first.

Updates

Material changes to this notice will change the date above. Our terms of service contain the terms of business, and fees on the pricing page.
